This non-technical workshop focuses on the immediacy of letterpress printing. Using the type and letterpress resources of BARN’s Print & Book Arts Studio, you’ll be guided in the preparation of printing pieces with your own message, slogan, belief, or bit of sage advice.
You’ll be exposed to the simplest form of relief printing: ink, paper, and working with type. Working in small poster format, you can be bold and daring with type. By the end of the session, through collaboration and individual expression, you’ll have finished prints to take home.

- Skill level: All.
- Bring lunch for our short, mid-day break. BARN has a refrigerator and a microwave you can use on the lower level.
Materials
- A $5 materials fee, included in the cost of the class, covers everything you'll need.
- You should bring a short slogan, saying, aphorism, quote, or statement of belief.
