About
Join Bay Area chef Chad Hyatt for a hands-on, wild mushroom-themed cooking class, as he swings through the Pacific Northwest on his book tour. As part of registration for this class, you will receive a copy of The Mushroom Hunter’s Kitchen.
Participants will cook together as they make their way through five dishes, all showcasing wild mushrooms. We will explore a wide range of applications and techniques, from salad to dessert, under chef Chad's guiding hand. The class will culminate in a shared dinner.
Chef’s selection of wine will be served.
On the menu:
- Matsutake and Apple Salad with Lardons and Bacon Vinaigrette
- Homemade Cavatelli with Hedgehogs and Pinenuts
- Stewed Mixed Mushrooms in Peanut Sauce
- Chanterelle and Spinach Gratin
- Chanterelle and Pear Galette
Menu subject to change based on availability of ingredients.
BARN’s kitchen facility regularly uses ingredients on the FDA’s major allergens list. This class uses: milk (butter), eggs, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, and soybeans.
