About

Have you always wanted to write a novel, but you've been too intimidated to start? Is there a book you wish existed, but you didn't have the tools to begin a draft?

Sitting down to write your first novel is as much a leap of faith as a matter of craft. But there are tools and resources to help you begin that will carry you through the 70,000 or more words before you reach "The End." This is a class for absolute beginners who will leave with a toolbox of things to help them open up that blank document and begin writing in November.

Details

  • Skill level: For absolute beginners who will leave with a toolbox of things to help them begin writing in November.  "November novel writing month" is the common name for National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo), an annual writing challenge where the goal is to write a novel in 30 days.
  • Be sure to bring something to take notes on.
