About

Gujeolpan, meaning “platter of nine,” is traditionally associated with royal court cuisine that served the king. It features eight colorful ingredients, ranging from vegetables to proteins, which are carefully prepared and arranged around a central stack of handmade mini-crepes (miljeonbyeong). The ingredients are wrapped in the crepes like mini tacos or rolls, making the dish as fun to eat as it is to make.

You'll first learn how to prepare the delicate wheat flour crepes used to hold the fillings. Then you'll slice, season, and cook a variety of vegetables and proteins, paying attention to texture, color, and balance. Along the way, the instructor will share tips for presentation and substitutions for a modern or vegetarian twist. You'll each assemble your own gujeolpan platter to enjoy during class or take home.

This class emphasizes the beauty of balance between colors, flavors, and techniques, while offering a relaxing and rewarding culinary experience.
