About

You'll explore two hands-on techniques — creating textured collagraph postcard prints and learning how to use clay as a medium for making plates to print with hair used to form unique, intricate designs.

You'll also learn a bit about the rich history of hair art, a tradition that flourished in the 19th century when people used hair to craft deeply personal mementos and keepsakes. This historical practice will be connected to modern art-making in a warm, welcoming environment.

You’ll leave with several designed prints that will serve as visual celebrations of your loved ones as well as the ability to make more with the plates you'll make in the class.
