About

Add a splash of personality to your garden with custom-made metal and mosaic garden stakes. In this hands-on workshop, you'll create your outdoor art pieces in steel, and finish the colorful mosaic glasswork in a fashion that works for you.

Choose two designs from more than 30 available shapes, then learn to cut them out using a plasma cutter. You'll clean and deburr the metal, and tack weld each piece to a sturdy steel stake. A coat of protective paint is recommended to help with longevity in the outdoors.

Details

  • Experience level: None needed!
  • Note: Previous offerings of this class included both metal and glass sessions. This class features only the metal element, which allows artisans to carry on with the glass element independently.
  • You'll leave with two handcrafted garden stakes ready to hold your glass mosaic to brighten your outdoor space.

Materials

A $25 materials fee, included in the cost of the class, covers all the materials you'll need.

Class Policies

  • Ages 14 and up are welcome.
  • Wear natural fiber clothing, natural fiber or leather shoes with closed toes and heels, and tie back long hair. No stretch fabrics that could melt.
  • Personal protection equipment will be provided.
