About
Expressive images come to life when you apply ink on plexiglass plates using brushes, roller, and rags. Then the plate is run through an etching press to make one-of-a-kind images.
Begin to master the technical aspects of monotype as you discover and explore what fascinates you. You'll learn about a wide range of monotype techniques designed to kick-start your creativity and develop your skills as a printmaker.
And you get to take home your own original monotype prints.

Instructors or Guides
Wendy Orville
Wendy has taught at Pratt Fine Arts, The Henry Art Gallery, University of Indiana and numerous other venues. Currently, she teaches monotype workshops for beginning and experienced artists at BARN and out of her printmaking studio on Bainbridge Island.
Trained as a painter but largely self-taught as a printmaker, she fell in love with the monotype process when she lived in Taos, New Mexico. Something happened ... that opened up a different part of me. I felt genuinely free to experiment and fail, trusting myself to follow the process anywhere it led.” Visit her website at www.wendyorville.com and Instagram at @wendyorville.
