About
Learn the Margarita Stitch in this workshop designed to provide the skills and materials to make coiled pine needle baskets/vessels that feature rock slices as bases. You'll start by learning the attachment technique of the Margarita Stitch harness on day one, then use this harness with half an irregularly shaped ammonite fossil on day two. You'll start two baskets and probably finish at least one in the course of the class.
Techniques you'll learn:
- Margarita Stitch harness on prepared rock slices.
- Harness variation that accommodates ammonite halves.
- Use of a curved stitching needle and other tools.
Details
Skill level: You need to have some basic pine needle skills and coiling experience.
