About

Have you ever drawn something and thought it would look great on a shirt? Then you'll love this exploration of printmaking. Create and print designs onto an assortment of everyday wearables; from canvas bags to patches, shirts, and whatever you have in their closet. You can choose from a selection of materials to bring your ideas to life! Templates and other helpful starting points will be provided to help students generate ideas, and tying in personal interests is encouraged!

Details

  • For students ages 10-14.
  • Skill Level: Beginner
  • Registration closes Monday, July 31.
  • A $40 materials fee, included in the cost of the class, covers all materials needed in class. You can bring wearable items from home, too.

Registering Youth

  • New registrants: When you register, select Others Only in the "Who Are You Registering?" section. On the next page, Add New Registrant. Create an account for your child. The email address on their account must be unique. 
    •  The next time you register your child, you will be able to Search Registrants to select them.
  • Complete and return this minor permission form.
  • You may register your youth  for an optional supervised lunch hour from 12-1 pm for the duration of this class.

Project

One or more bag, shirt, patch, or personal item from home, printed with personalized and hand-made designs.

Materials

Provided, but you can bring items from home to see if they can be printed upon.

Instructors or Guides

Greyson Lee

Greyson Lee is a high school art educator with a background in color and design theory, traditional 2D art, and printmaking; as well as summer camps, horseback riding instruction, and environmental ed. He has a love of exploration and experimentation in the classroom, and strives to make learning meaningful, student-driven, and fun.
