About

Do you ever get confused about what type of glue to use on your woodworking projects? Do you wonder about correct preparation and application? Which clamps to use and how long to leave them on? How to clean up the mess?

This class, part of BARN's Woodworking Basics series, engages you in a conversation to answer these and other questions focusing on materials and tools in BARN’s Woodworking Studio. The goal is to give you more confidence in this important phase of your project’s construction and provide you with a better result.

This class is a component of BARN's Woodworking Basics Certificate program, which includes 14 classes and a mentored final project. Learn more »

Jeff is a fourth-generation woodworker drawing on 150 years of experience. He served 30 years as a firefighter in the Orange County Fire Authority in
California including 10 years as director of marketing and events for the Orange County Professional Firefighters Association. Jeff worked with the
Boy Scouts, Vista Unified School District, and as events director for the 400-member North Coast Aquatics Swim Team in Carlsbad CA. After a move to the Northwest in 2008, Jeff joined the Bainbridge Island Community Woodworkers. This led to becoming the Woodworking Studio's first studio
lead and manager of BARN’s multi-studio cabinet build project during initial construction. He continues to work on the Woodworking Studio's steering
committee, BARN's facilities committee, and as facilitator for numerous internal BARN projects. In 2018, Jeff joined BARN's Board of Directors and now serves on BARN’s Tree Farm committee, planning the proposed BARN expansion.
