About
Frit (ground fusible glass), combined with foliage, creates delicate organic images that will complement your food presentation or anything you might imagine.
In the first session, you'll learn about the necessary safety and cleanup practices when it comes to using glass powders. Then, with step-by-step instruction, you'll practice the process of layering frit to colorize the dried foliage you've chosen to decorate your dishware.
Details
This class will provide instruction in best practices for cutting and shaping glass.
Project
You will make one 9” x 9” square swoop serving piece, one 3" x 9" channel plate, and three 3” x 3” condiment dishes.
Materials
- A $45 materials fee, included in the price of your class, will cover everything you need except for foliage.
- A document providing instructions on how to dry and store your foliage will be available in any of the following places: your confirmation email, your reminder email, and within your registration portal on the BARN website.
