About
Our popular retro wave plate class is reconfigured as the perfect opportunity for multi-generation fun. You'll make a design from Island Spectrum Design glass studio on Bainbridge Island.
You'll learn straight and curved glass cutting, and how to create "pools" of special colors (also called lensing). A wonderful opportunity for beginners or seasoned artists, and you'll take home extra glass to return to the studio on your own during one of our open studios.
Details
- No experience with glass cutting or fusing is required.
- Youth as young as 10 are welcome. Youth 10-14 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
- Each adult and child must register individually.
Project
Create an 8" retro wave plate and learn how transparent glass is used to create visual pools of a lens of light.
Materials
A $54 materials fee, included in the price of the class, covers everything you need to make the plate and have glass leftover to use on other projects.
Class Policies
- Closed-toe shoes and long pants must be worn in the Glass Studio at all times.
- Students may choose to tie back long hair.
