This is a great opportunity to reach new readers and meet people who love words as much as you do. It takes courage to share your work with others. Be brave!

• Open to the public, and everyone is welcome.
• No need to register in advance.
• Sign up for the open mic will start at 6:45 pm. Poets will be asked to keep their readings to four or fewer minutes.
• This event was formerly held at BARN, and is now at the Bainbridge Public Library.

Featured Reader: Abby E. Murray

Abby E. Murray is the editor of "Collateral," a literary journal concerned with the impact of violent conflict and military service beyond the combat zone. She is widely published and winner of the 2024 Neil Postman Award. Her book, "Hail and Farewell," won the Perugia Press Poetry Prize and was a finalist for the Washington State Book Award.

Host: Michele Bombardier, Bainbridge Island Poet Laureate 

Michele (top photograph) is Bainbridge Island’s first poet laureate and the author of "What We Do," a Washington Book Award finalist. She has published more than 100 poems and reviews, holds a master's of fine arts degree in poetry, and is the founder of Fishplate Poetry, offering retreats and workshops.
