Celebrate strawberry season! Make two different types of shortcakes to hold those summer berries. You'll learn baking techniques like "cutting in" and how to handle a delicate short dough ("short" because the amount of flour is usually double the amount of fat). You'll make enough shortcake to take home and freeze for fast summer desserts later.
You'll also get a pint of locally grown strawberries, which you’ll slice and macerate at the beginning of class. You'll bake two batches of shortcake – one chocolate and one vanilla – then choose one to eat right away. There will be whipped cream, of course!
Your recipe packet will include three variations of berry sauce.

Class Policies
- Ages 16 and up are welcome.
- You must wear closed-toe shoes to class.
- You must be registered for the class (no drop-ins).
