About

Learn the fundamentals of Indian curries while you make a delicious chicken curry and fish curry. Once you understand curry basics, you'll be able to use the concepts to create your own versions. You’ll also be able to comprehend other curry recipes with ease and reproduce them with authenticity.

This is a hands-on class that, instead of teaching a specific recipe, will show you the basics of preparing curries. Class will conclude with a brief discussion of how to improvise at home, and to begin exploring the larger world of Indian curries.

In this class, you will make and taste (with a side of steamed rice):

  • Chicken curry with a tomato base
  • Fish curry with a coconut milk base
  • And you'll take home the leftovers!

Materials

A $30 materials fee, included in the class cost, covers everything you'll need in class.

Class Policies

  • Ages 16 and up are welcome.
  • You must wear closed-toe shoes to class.
  • You must be registered for the class (no drop-ins).
