About

Get an introduction to coding with Python, a programming language known for its readability and ease of use. It's widely used in web development, data analysis, and machine learning, and more. You'll control an educational robot called the Finch to do different things like move around, draw shapes, etc.

Once you're familiar with Python, you'll be introduced to Google Teachable Machine, a web-based tool that lets you create machine learning models. You'll create a machine-learning model to control your robots to do tricks or complete tasks.

To keep the cost of the class down, the Finch robots will be available for use during class time and returned to the instructor at the end of the class.

Families will be invited to enjoy a sharing time during the last 20 minutes of class on the final day to view and take photos and videos of the student creations.
