About

Italian-trained Yori, your instructor, says his favorite tools are the ones he’s made for himself. In this case, it’s the bench chisel that he keeps on the bench as his go-to tool for dozens of odd jobs. Come to the forge and learn to create your own chisel with hammer, forge, and anvil. The only thing better than making your own tools is taking them home and using them for years to come.

You’ll be provided with a prefabricated handle that's about 80% complete, and learn to shape the chisel at the forge with hammer and tongs. Then you’ll learn how to harden the steel, properly temper it by “running the colors,” and finally sharpen your chisel to a keen edge. This is a course packed with loads of information and hands-on fun!

Materials

A $25 materials fee, included in the class price, covers everything you'll need.
