About
Learn sculptural techniques using borosilicate to make lightly stylized, naturalistic slugs. If you’ve worked with boro to make marbles and are curious about making representational glass objects, this is an ideal starting point. If you’ve worked primarily with soft glass, this is a perfect opportunity to try borosilicate or extend your practice. You can optionally contrast working with boro and soft glass in the companion class to this, Lampworked Sculpture: Soft Glass Slugs.

This class is beginner friendly, but has a prerequisite for prior torch use. See "Prerequisites" below.
Materials
A $35 materials fee, included in the price of the class, covers everything you need.
Prerequisites
Class Policies
- Long pants and closed-toe shoes are required in the Glass Studio at all times. Long hair should be tied back. All-cotton clothing is recommended for torchwork.
- Ages 14 and up are welcome.
