About
The September Woodworkers' Monthly Speaker Program will be a field trip to the Port Townsend School of Woodworking (PTSW). This nationally recognized school is located at the historical Fort Worden State Park in Port Townsend. This field trip is an opportunity to explore and expand your knowledge of one of the many resources available to woodworkers in the Pacific Northwest. Come meet fellow woodworker Raphael Berrios, Program Coordinator at PTSW, and others who will provide us with an overview of the school, its history, and its founders, John Marckworth, Tim Lawson, and Jim Tolpin. We will also observe a Windsor Chair class in progress. The world is a better place with more humble woodworkers providing a second life to the beautiful trees of our forests and sharing the joy of exquisite joinery. Time to geek out!
We will start the tour at building 315. We will also tour building 304. Here's a detailed map.
