About
Learn to make three different chainmaille pendants (chainmaille being armor or jewelry made of linked metal rings) using sterling silver or colorful aluminum! You'll learn how to properly open and close jump rings to achieve seamless closures and ways to combine rings into different designs. And you'll use two pairs of pliers to open and close jump rings (one set of pliers for each hand). Pliers will be available, but if you have some you would like to use, please bring them with you.
Details
- Skill level: Beginner.
- This class uses small jump rings, so you can bring magnifiers if you think they'd be helpful.
Materials
- You'll select either a $30 materials fee (for an aluminum kit with many colors available) or a $150 materials fee (for a silver kit), during registration. Both fees include all the rings you'll need to complete three pendants, as well as one cord or chain on which to hang a pendant.
- Student need to bring: magnifying glasses (optional)
