About
Learn about Cambodian cuisine by making one of the country’s most loved street foods, lort cha (pronounced loht chaw), which contains stir-fried rice pin noodles, chicken, and garlic chives.
Make the short, stubby rice noodles (lort) from scratch then transform it into a stir-fried (cha or chha) noodle dish that is popular throughout the country. The noodles are boiled, then stir-fried with garlic chives and a protein of your choice.
Next, make a perfectly balanced tuk trey (a fish sauce-based seasoning) to pour over the dish. Perfectly fry an egg to sit atop the noodles. Top with a sprinkle of coarsely chopped peanuts and a big squirt of chili sauce.
On the menu
- Lort (pin rice noodles).
- Lort cha (stir-fried pin noodles with chicken and garlic chives).
- Lort cha with tofu (vegetarian option).
- Tuk trey (fish sauce).
