About

Garden art or indoor holiday decoration, sheet metal stars will shine!

Create a dramatic, three-dimensional five-pointed metal star to decorate a wall or maybe the side of a barn or garage. In this class you will learn the basics of how to use a pattern, follow the order of operations, as well as the tools and techniques used in the sheet metal shop. Learn how to use the basic hand tools, as well as cut and bend sheet metal with the manually operated shear and brake. We will also use the spot welder.

You’ll make your 24-inch-diameter five-point star from galvanized steel, which you can paint later, if you wish.

Minimum class size is 3. If only one student has registered 48 hours before the class, the class will be cancelled.

Materials

$20 is included in the cost of the course for materials that will be needed.
