About
Learn the basics skills of kumihimo braiding — how to set up and use the disc and accurately measure materials for your project. There will be a brief discussion of useful tools and the wide variety of fibers and colors from which to choose.
The repetitive and meditative nature of this technique and the accompanying mantra will reinforce the simple braiding pattern. A variety of finishing techniques will be covered. Your cord can be finished as a bracelet, keychain, or a wide variety of other options.
Materials
A $20 materials fee, included in the cost of the class, covers everything you'll need, including a kumihimo disc, a variety of chords to select from, and finishing pieces.
