About

This three-hour, introductory blacksmithing class will introduce you to skills and techniques that will become a base of knowledge as you pursue blacksmithing. You'll learn to make a handy and decorative wall-mounted hook or something similar using hammers, tongs, anvil, punches, and the forge while learning to draw, twist, bend, flatten, and pierce a piece of mild steel. Handling hot metal with tongs, hammering technique and control will be central to this experience.
