About
Join Stephanie Tayengco, BARN member and Bloedel Reserve Community Creative, as she demonstrates techniques for working with borosilicate tubing. She’ll show how she makes the structures for glass and felted wool mixed media that she uses in her art practice. These are similar to the pieces that participants in a workshop to be held at Bloedel Reserve will use to make their own naturalistic and fantasy mixed media flowers.
This demo will assume no familiarity with torchworking, but torchworkers interested in working with tubing will come away with techniques to try on their own during open studios.
Class Policies

- Long hair should be tied back, and all-cotton clothing is recommended for torchwork, but these are not required for observers of this demonstration.
