About

This creative, multimedia approach to enhancing old, abandoned prints may extend the life of unfinished prints, and at the same time, increase the possibility of experimentation. When a print becomes less precious, a freer approach to creativity offers an avenue for fresh ideas to emerge.

New ways to continue working on old prints are demonstrated (instruction is not given) with the intention of taking risks in order to let go of judgment and results. Additional layers of paint, pen and ink, drawing, stamping, sewing, water-colored pencils, water-color crayons, and collage are encouraged.

Class discussions and demonstrations center on methods and materials used in the creative process. The facilitator and participants are encouraged to offer material suggestions or share what they bring when appropriate.

Participants are encouraged to make additions to their prints with original work rather than using ready-made stamps, decorative papers or magazines.
